Conditions of Sale for SWAYD Puppies
Type, health and temperament first and foremost - pet or show dog.
SWAYD Great Danes does not sell puppies for breeding purposes to non show homes.
ALL pet quality puppies that are placed in pet homes have limited ANKC registration and spay/neuter contract.
If you are looking for a dog to breed and have no interest in showing your dog in ANKC conformation events, you are looking in the wrong place. Our companion puppies are sold on Limited Registration with a desexing contract.
Main registered puppies may be available to bona fide show homes, Main registered puppies will only be considered in co-ownership.
Limited Registration does NOT mean that you are purchasing a lesser quality puppy. On the contrary, this puppy is from a litter that has been carefully planned by us - health, longevity, temperament and conformation have all been considered in the hope that this litter contains our future Show Champions. This puppy is offered for sale as it may not have the outstanding conformation we are looking for, or is the wrong gender for our current requirements. It may be the case that we simply do not have the room to run on all the show prospect puppies in a litter. Limited Registration basically means that your puppy/dog is fully registered, however you are unable to show or to breed the puppy/dog.
We offer a partial refund on your purchase price on proof of desexing.
Our puppies are sold subject to acceptance of a written sales agreement. If you have any objections to signing an agreement, please do not be offended if we are unable to offer you a puppy. The sales agreement is designed to protect all parties, including the puppy and to set out our basic requirements for the care of your puppy.
If, for any reason, you are unable to keep your puppy/dog we ask that you contact us prior to rehoming, selling or otherwise disposing of the puppy/dog. This requirement is stipulated in our sales agreement.
Our puppies are available to homes interstate, however all freight costs are borne by the purchaser. All costs, including purchase and freight, are to be paid in full prior to the puppy leaving our home.

The first Great Dane I came across belonged to my grandparents, her name was Tessa, even at the tender age of 6 I knew she was a gentle soul, wrapped in a brindle coat. All my free time was spent with Tessa, exploring the garden, building tents out of sheets, sharing secrets and snuggling on the couch. Tessa established my love for the breed.
The first Great Dane I have the pleasure of owning was my black girl Sway. With Sway I learnt about the finer points of the breed standard, how to present and exhibit a Great Dane and then under the guidance of my breed mentor Gayle Revill from Thunderfire Great Danes, had my first litter. The prefix Swayd is in honour of Sway, she has taught me many valuable things about the breed I so admire.
I am very active in the dog world, I am currently the Vice President of The Great Dane Club Of Victoria, Member of Dogs Victoria & Dogs New South Wales, Member of the Great Dane Club Of NSW, Master Dog Breeders Association - Life Member, As well as a member of a number of all breeds kennel clubs.
To this day I continue to learn, exhibit and most of all love the breed I share my life and home with.
